PADI Freediver Course
The PADI Freediver course is your starting point if you are already comfortable in water and want to develop a solid foundation for deep freediving.
The course consists of a theory session where you will learn about breathing techniques, ear equalization and physiology among the other topics related to freediving and a practical part consisting of one confined water session to learn the disciplines of static and dynamic apnea and two open water sessions to practice free immersion and constant weight freediving to depths between 10-16 m.


To enroll in a PADI Freediver Course, you must be 15 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good health.
You will have to swim 200 m non stop with any stroke (without time limit) or 300 m with fins, mask and snorkel. Swimming is a basic skill that will ensure your safety once in water and will make you feel more comfortable during the course.
To be certified you will be required to perform separately a 90 seconds breath hold, swim horizontally underwater for 25 m, dive to 10m and demonstrate proper rescue techniques on a buddy. During the course you will be taught the correct skills and techniques to assist you in achieving these goals.
